Message from Head Teacher, Primary Section

Mrs. Lakshmi Nair

- Head Teacher

It gives me a great pleasure to share my views with you all. The times have changed, as educators we need to remember that what we learnt during our time, cannot be the taught as it is, to today’s child. We need to continuously evolve and refine ourselves to suit to the needs of present generation. There are innumerable distractions all around us. Our main goal should be to create a desire for learning.

Primary Core beliefs – “Vidya Dhanam Sarva Dhanal Pradhanam”

Education has been the ancient art and youngest among the profession. Education means ‘to lead art’, to lead forth’ or to unfold the hidden talents of a child.

A school is never a solitary endeavor and teachers are inextricably intertwined with everything the students attempt while at their place of Education. The early years of a child’s life are most important —- a time of rapid development physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally.

By the time children come to school they are already successful learners. They have learnt many things – to laugh, to cry, to walk, to feed themselves and most important of all, to talk and converse with others. During the years of learning experiences the child should observe positive relationships between home and school, parents and teacher. It is through the combined efforts of all those adults that children will be given the maximum opportunities to develop and learn.Parents and teachers working together can make sure that this occurs.

I would like to end with a Chinese proverb –

If you are planning for a year – sow rice.

If you are planning for a decade – Plant trees

If you are planning for a lifetime – Educate people!
